Here at the Carroll County Area YMCA our mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Our impact is felt when an individual makes a healthy choice, when a coach inspires a child, and when a community comes together for the common good. We know we can make a positive change when we all work together. That’s why strengthening the community is our cause. Everyday we work side by side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income, or background has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive.
In the center of all of this is the Y’s four core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. Our Areas of Focus: Youth Development, Healthy Living, and Social Responsibility.
Youth Development:
Encouraging children and teens to learn and show positive behaviors. At the Y they can explore their unique talents to help them realize their potential.
Healthy Living:
Being Healthy is more than simply being physically active, it’s about maintaining a balance spirit, mind and body. The Y is a place you can work towards that balance by challenging yourself to learn a new skill or hobby, make new friends, and have fun with your family.
Social Responsibility:
Giving back and providing support to our neighbors.
The generosity of others is at the core of the Y’s existence as a nonprofit. It is only through the support of our volunteers and donors that we are able to support and give back to the community.
